Kündig wins German Brand Award 2017

The new Kündig brand strategy has received a special recognition: the German Brand Award 2017.

Initiated by the German Brand Institute and judged by a group of experts in brand management and brand science, the German Brand Award is one of the most prestigious prises for brand management in the German-speaking world. The German Brand Award discovers, presents and recognises unique brands and their creators. The companies admitted to competition are nominated by the German Brand Institute, their brand scouts as well as expert committees. In 2017, this also included the new Kündig brand.

This year, the German Brand Award has been awarded in three different categories: “Excellence in Branding”, “Industry Excellence in Branding” and “Excellence in Brand Strategy, Management and Creation”. Kündig is among the winners in the category “Industry Excellence in Branding”, in which the best marketing strategies have been awarded. The jury for this category includes renowned personalities such as Mike Richter, Professor of Strategy and Planning of Design Processes at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, Simoene Roth, Professor of International Marketing in Hamburg, and Andrej Kupetz, Chief Executive Officer of the German Design Council.

The award was initiated by the German Design Council. It is an independent and international institution that helps companies to efficiently communicate design competence, while at the same time striving to strengthen the design literacy of the broad public. Created as a foundation on the initiative of the Federation of German Industries in the German Bundestag in 1953, the German Design Council promotes good design and branding with its competitions, exhibitions, conferences, seminars and publications. The donor circle of the German Design Council currently includes over 280 German and international companies.

The annual Brand Award is presented by the German Brand Institute. Its aim is to highlight and strengthen the importance of branding as a key success factor for companies in the competitive national and international competitive environment.

For Kündig the award is not only a special honor, but above all also an independent confirmation that the new Kündig brand concept was a step in the right direction.
