For our maple syrup and maple sugar, we harvest the juice of maple trees on plantations in Canada and the northeastern USA between the end of February and April. One tree yields around 40 liters of juice, which in turn produce one liter of maple syrup. Kündig supplies maple syrup in several different qualities: the lighter the syrup the better. Maple sugar is available in various degrees of fineness, from granulate to icing sugar. The natural sweeteners are used in the food industry in the production of confectionery, soups and sauces, as well as to enhance the flavor of tobacco.
